Classes are held at Fulton Place Community League, 6115 Fulton Road, Edmonton, Alberta.
Schedule
Tuesday evenings from 19:00 – 21:30
Thursdays evening from 18:30 – 20:30 (April to September) – note that these classes are outdoors and weather dependent.
Sunday sparring practice may be held outside at Inglewood School Park (125 street and 115 Ave), at The Little Sweatshop, or at Cumberland Park. Location and time of these practices are posted to members on Facebook and Signal.
Dues
$70/month.
Sunday classes are “pay-what-you-can” donation to the school (recommend $40 monthly).
We accept cash, email transfer, and cheques (made out to “The Academy of European Swordsmanship”). Sorry, no credit cards or debit.
There is a one-time membership fee of $100. This includes your AES shirt, member handbook, and access to our Dropbox with study guides and treatises (valued over $500). This helps support our non-profit club by paying for things like the website, class gear, and study materials.
The AES is a registered non-profit club in Alberta. As such we are all volunteers, teaching one another in the furtherance of our Western Martial Arts and Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA).
